This was the last day that Audrey will ever see Mamaw & Papaw's farm of sorts at 69 Wilson Lane in my hometown. They have sold their house and bought a new one in Louisville. We are all very happy but it makes me a bit sad that she will never get to run in the field or explore the barn or eat grapes from the vines again. Nor will I. It brought me some peace to see these blues skies meet the green horizon line. I have so many fond memories of "the country" as we called it. I loved growing up a country girl and wished that Audrey could have known that same pride. She would have loved my grand parents (her great grand parents) and their farms too. But she will bring the next generation her own memories and they'll be just as sweet. So goodbye to 69 Wilson Lane, the Cougars & Rough River - for now.
