Hola! Mi Amiga Dora ...

"Hi, this is my friend Dora" ... atleast I hope I remember enough of 9th & 10th grade Spanish to correctly translate that sentiment from the photo at left.

Last week was my sweet daughter's 3rd birthday so we took a family road trip to Orlando and stayed in the Nickelodeon Hotel. She was able to meet Dora for breakfast one day and she absolutely did not want to leave ... this photo was taken on our way out the door. One last hug from Dora before we could leave the restaurant, because she'd only had about 3 hugs already. (And a kiss!)

We also met Sponge Bob & gang, as well as Blue (from Blue's Clues). But Dora was her favorite by far. She asked Dora "do you want to kiss Audrey?" She danced and smiled so hard when the whole restaurant began jamming to music. The wait staff even brought her a birthday cupcake and sang to her -in English. :)

Pumpkin Picker

My child has been wanting to pick a pumpkin for weeks now. So we visited Huber's on Sunday for some home-cooking and pumpkin-picking. Naturally she picked this big one! (see pic L) But we passed on this pumpkin. We actually stopped at a roadside produce stand and purchased a pleasing pumpkin. I think she was so overwhelmed with the variety of sizes that she just wanted to touch them all and look for bugs on them, of course. My pumpkin picker also fed the ducks while at Huber's (see pic R). It was a fun fall day for all!
